I like it! What exactly is the plasticoat? I think I never heard of it!
Plasticoat is a spray that can be used indoors. It works like a vanish only its a poly-mere-a-thingy plastic coating used for arts and crafts. I'd never spray anything like a model, but for a thin coat to protect the grass it will be fine. I use it on my trees, after several hairspray coats, for added protection. It does dull the colours quite a lot, but for terrain I think it is fine. It doesn't dry rock hard either so It wont damage any models on it.

Excellent! As the expression goes, when life gives you lemons.... you look around for 500g of salt and as much Tequila as you can find!
That's almost the thought I had- except I intended to throw the bag at lemons at the person causing us all the problems! Your idea might be better in the long run though!

Rex where abouts are you located?
On the south coast, in one of gods waiting rooms- Bournemouth. I hate it here, if it wasn't for the fact that the house we brought is the best place in the whole universe (other then the fact that something falls to bits every week, and I'm not very DIY capable!) then I would have forced us to move long ago.
