The guy's been given $30,000,000 to make a feature length movie based on that little clip.

Kinda like how "Alive in Jo'burg" became District 9, except "Alive in Jo'burg" was a lot better, IMO...

Given what the film industry is it is certainly not trying to recreate the success of district 9 :)

honestly, they're capable of interstellar travel (presumably) and the best they have are rockets and projectile weapons? jeez, talk about lack of imagination...

still, giant walking robots, can't go wrong with that!

I like missiles and rockets.  They look cool.  BSG focused on projectile weaponry and it added to the show IMO instead of detracting.

I am just happy to see massive devastation that doesn't involve New York's Chrysler buulding.    :agree:

Hehe, indeed :D Apparently aliens consider landmarks and symbolic buildings targets of extreme strategic importance.

    Good one, Warmaster.

I would have preferred to see some sort of energy weapon, but the missiles did look really cool.

now if we're being logical and everything, if they're going to nuke Montevideo at the end, why bother blowing bits of it up and shooting civs first? Fun? chagrin?

that's assuming our logic = alien logic (that's if they're even aliens)

Indeed :D

Although... I suppose it could be argued that they need to be able to fight their way to a position where the blast has the most effective impact... But still :p :D

Of course. That thing is insanely dangerous! You could poke an eye out with that thing if you're unlucky!

Wouldn't you want to play "whack a tower" if you were a giant robot in Paris?

I'd be torn between that and swinging like a monkey on the St. Louis arch...
