Finally got this resolved, but not before I had to open an eBay case. The seller was warlordsofthecoast in case anyone was wondering. Overall, he was uncooperative, untruthful and slightly offensiveness.
In a nutshell, he:
- failed to send me what was pictured (after I specifically asked if it was what I was getting),
- sent me another incomplete model (missing a turret),
- charged me £11 for £4.75 of postage.
After a few days of back-and-forth he offered a refund for the incorrect model. I tried to get an additional £6.25 out of him to cover the difference in the shipping. I thought that was reasonable and would have been happy there, but he didn't agree. So when that went nowhere I opened a case with eBay. They refunded me for
both the models and
all the shipping.
I laughed when I saw that e-mail. That probably makes me a bad person but it's not like I was making wild demands. Send me what I ordered and charge me actual shipping is pretty reasonable in my opinion.
