I aced the quiz, but... if there's such thing as a "main battle tank", then why can't all the other tracked vehicles be called "tanks" of the non-main, non-battle variety?

A tank by any other name: can you tell which vehicles are tanks? I scored 100% - can you match that?

i always knew being the only one EVER to sign out that book on the history of WW2 was going to come in handy 16 years later! or some thing like that! lol

only because the Panzer boys got snobby cause it didnt have a turret and wanted nothing to do with it, so the Chief of Artillery said he would take it...there is an amusing anecdote in one of Heinz Guderian's books (Achtung Panzer! or Panzer Leader - cant remember which) about how the StuGs came to be part of the artillery...

and the StuG gunners were also generally better than the Panzer crews as well...put rounds on target quicker and more effectively, especially in the early years of the war...

anyhoos - also managed a perfect score in the quiz...useless information in my head finally pays off
