I usually prefer it, since I'm often only trying to fill holes in an army I already have, rather than buidling a new army.

With that large of a volume, I have hopes that the prices will stay reasonable - reasonable enough, in fact, for me to actually bid on an overseas lot.  At this point if I could pick up a decent core for a Tau force for $100 or so, I'd be fine with filling it in at retail.

Hi!

Not bad, we'll see what the final price is.

As epic becomes more obscure and more people dump their stuff you may get lucky with some good pickups.

Me, I find the best price per unit is often when I find whole armies for sale. The IG army I just picked up was worth two times what I paid in raw metal. The fact it was all painted to table quality was an added bonus!

I'll agree that you usually get a better bargain by buying whole armies, but most of the time I don't want to spend that much.

Good point and a fair observation.  :;):

One of the best auctions I saw had the average cost per figure down around .08 cents USD each. However it was over $650 on the last bid. The volume made it restrictive.

So your point is well taken!
