I'm looking for a satelite dish style item small enough to fit onto the shoulder of one of the old beetleback Titans... I've been considering how I want to model my carapace landing pad and kinda decided that I'd rather the unit have some kind of communications link to a ship in orbit spotting for it then making a little land-speeder landing pad. But I'm in need of something to use for the actual communications dish. If anyone has one let me know, I'll gladly trade something (I have a bunch of extra plastic Warlord weapons, and some extra Knights Paladin now).

Depending on the size you're after I may be able to help.  Some of the Mechwarrior range vehicles have a nice sat dish but it is only about half to 2/3rds the diameter of a dime/old three pence....might be a bit small for a Warlord.  Lego has some decent ones too...I could raid my sons' stash  :D

Warlords aren't all that big right now. They're roughly 50mm to the top of the their 'hunch' thing for the old plastic ones. Roughly 2 inches. That might actually be about the right size (A picture would  be fantastic if you can get one).

Also, look to the 1/300th scale modern soviet lines. They have many truck and APC based Radar systems. One of those would work I am sure.

I've got a spare ordinati dish buried in my bitz box - is it to big though?

Not great photos of the dishes, but I have plenty of these:

and these

For reference, the base on these vehicles is 3" long.

You know... I don't actually really know how big ordinati are! I don't think I've ever seen one sitting next to anything of known size really... If you mean the main transmission dish for the Ordinatus Mars, it's probably too big, though it's kindof hard to tell. The Warlord itself is only 50mm high after all.

I've used the small plastic satellite dish present in the Space Marine Tank Accessory Sprue for W40K for a conversion projet at epic scale, and they should be absolutely perfect for your project.

You can find them from a fellow player or buy them at Battlewagon Bits (follow link for a picture)

Hope this helps!  :)

That looks just about right, style-wise. Do you have any pictures of it sitting next to something in Epic scale? It'd probably work fine though. I'm just currious as to how big it is (Photos being notorious for making tiny objects look huge and huge objects look tiny and all.)
