I just got a N scale building that I won on e-bay today. The scale of it works out really well. I have been searching high and low for months for n scale buildings that are a little lore modern or urban. Do you know of any?

Yeah, alot of them do. The trouble I am having is finding buildings and/or structures that do not have that middle american small town or quaint european village look. The building I got was more a modern/ urban type of design. Very generic multilevel building. Could be used as anything. I am just looking to expand my city planning. I have some 1/300 buildings. But, some seem too small. I have two tons of those E40k ruins. I have around 9 or so FW buildings. Plus I keep getting new things in all the time. I have been buying buildings from all over. I just can't find what I am looking for.

Having a large terrain collection myself, I would say that the best urban sci-fi buildings are scratch-built. Use lots of plastic renderings, packaging, bitz, and garbage.
There are a lot of N-scale Japanese urban structures available including some fantastic skyscrapers.
I encourage you to build modular bases for your buildings so that they'll be easy to swap out with others in your collection.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!
Actually one of the best things for epic roads are those "rubber" templates they use to put under the tracks for train set ups. I looked into this a couple of years bakc and those things were pretty cool and cheap alternatives to make paved roads for epic.
I think I'll look them up again.

Ah, I know that stuff. I had thoughtthat stuff a while back but, decided against it. There are some others train manufacturers that make roads. I don't know. I'll figure it out.

Hi!
I vaguely remember some company making roads out of the same felt material you can use for a table cover for minis game. Flimsy, but very versatile.

FELT!?! NEVER!!! I would rather let gophers chew out my eyes than to commit such blasphemy.

I dunno. I use sqare, retangle, evergreen 1/4" and 1/2" tiles and matt board for my bases. Dependin on what I am basing. If it wasn't such a chore to cut the stands off of the troops I wouldn't even use the lousy GW bases.
