Shalom to Everyone out there in the cold confines of space,

My local group of friends (who are almost to a man Epic players) started a BFG league and I finally decided that I'd play something other than the "One and Only Game!" Finally receiving orbital support rules in E-A influenced my decision greatly since I can bring my newly acquired BFG models to E-A games now. At any rate, I digress.

My questions to everyone are:

1. How are you building Ork Roks and Hulks?

2. Which bitz and/or ship parts are you using?

3. Are you mounting them on large or small bases?

4. Are you building the asteroid part out of foam or something else?

5. Please share any other comments you have about Roks or Hulks.  :)

Best regards to all and Laila Tov,
Maksim-Smelchak.

1. How are you building Ork Roks and Hulks?

-I would guess how it says in Warp Storm

2. Which bitz and/or ship parts are you using?

-I would use any left over bits from everything! The left over plastic sprue bits from plastic cruisers, Un used metal bits, and epic tank would look ok on there as well!

Try to look for bit of ships you like (Imperial Prows etc) and use those bits on it.

3. Are you mounting them on large or small bases?

- Rocks should be small, Hulks Large

4. Are you building the asteroid part out of foam or something else?

- Foam, and then "push" and glue in any metal bits.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Chris

Just thought I would make a point in saying that the Hulk should be on a VERY large base. I have seen some people mount it on a plyinth and draw a circle on the base to represent its size.

Really large ships can be based on old CD's (yay! A use for those horrible 'join the internet for $200 a month' cd's).

While I dont like Roks and Hulks, I have considered a Hulk for my Chaos Marines. However, I would use only ship parts, and not the rock bits in Warp Storm. Personally, I hate the look of the Hulk there.

While I don't hate the Warp Storm and WD Hulk, I do think that one made all from ships would look spectacular- anyone tried this, and/or got any pics?

Have you thought about the cost of a hulk made of every ship!! You could probably buy a new TV for that!

Cheers

It might be pretty hard to get it all to stay together too- especially if you are using metal bitz, it might just fall apart under its own weight!!

That would be funny. Use a two stage epoxy resin. That sucker won't go anywhere after that. Provided you don't bond you hands permanently to it.  :p
