I did get the victor all finished up and primed today. It'll probably still be a bit before he actually gets painted and it's a toss up between him and a marauder getting the same scheme as the previous ones but I am leaning a bit closer to him getting the gray-green. All in all I'm pretty happy with how the reposing and sculpting went and I think it'll be a useful addition to the plastics I've been working with.

That is a very, very pretty conversion of what is usually a very ugly model. I'm impressed. :)

And we are back! Since I never seen to trust there being someone else with a painted force to play any of the systems I've painted for and battletech is even lower on the radar than BFG and Epic, I decided I needed to have this second group of mechs capable of being used against my first batch as well as with them should I ever play large games. After looking through everything it seems that my first group was trained by Wolf's Dragoons and later had a knock down drag out fight with them which makes the dragoons perfect for this next set of mechs. Since everyone seems to like painting up the black widow company, I decided to go for something different and painted Epsilon Company. While it turned out alright, it's also a pretty bland scheme so I'm partly wondering why I didn't go with a more interesting set. I did a bit of weathering on the warhammer which I may return to in the future to help break things up more.

Thanks, next up are more land raiders. After that I'm painting the Victor and modifying an archer. The victor will go with the Draconis units to make a complete lance and the archer will do the same with the Dragoon units.

After that there are some thoughts to do the shadow hawk and a marauder but I'll most likely finish up my 40k techmarine and servitors since I'd like to see them done before Christmas.

Jaime Wolf, leader of the Dragoons, piloted a blue and gold Archer, if you're looking for some variety.

There's a picture of it on one of the older Battletech books, Wolves on the Border.

I'm not sure I'm all that fond of the scheme. I'd rather just leave the full lance the same color rather than have an odd man out.

The solid tan bugged me too much so I tweaked a few things tonight. Perhaps I'll do a bit of weathering later but for now I feel better with the tan broken up a bit with... darker tan. :) I think that still counts as epsilon company, right? The photo should be exposed properly now I think too.

Huh. I'd only seen the newer picture on the newer Wolves on the Border (which, thinking back to it, appears to be a Cyclops. Which makes sense, Archers are Unseen).

Still awesome, Vaaish. :)

these look great...i particularly love the jewelling on the Griffin :)

if u still considering clan opponents, Nova Cats do offer flexibility for schemes as they officially have no set scheme (not even a parade colour), they just go with the appropriate camo for whereever they are stationed...also they can fight along side the Combine troops as well as against them, depending on where in the timeline u set the game...

once again these look great...the conversion work is awesome...never seen the old plastics look so good :D

Another week and another model painted up :) I admit I was a bit lazy on this guy since as of Friday night he barely had more than the first layer of highlights on him. Anyway, I am planning a pseudo-tutorial about how I painted this guy soon, but I still have to edit all the pics for it. In the mean time, here are the pics of the final for the Victor.

And a group show of the entire lance:

That Victor is beautiful. The rest are awesome, but that Victor is impressive both because of how good it looks and because of what you started with. Very impressive.
