Hi, I'm back after a long spell of Uni Coursework :(
I will cut this story very short:
About 3 weeks ago a drunk friend of mine "stood" on my BFG ships in their box. :{
Now, she has apolpgised and it was an accident but my ships are pretty much destoryed. some are salvagable but most of the plastic crusers have been broken in half or had weapon batteries broken off.
After having conversations with Cybershadow he suggested that instead of trying to repair the lot I start a new fleet off.
Pros: Shiney new minis and I could start a 'Nid fleet
Cons: expensive for me I lose a lot of ships.

Any ideas or suggestions anyone.-BS

Edit: I did have the thought that if I repair them I could have some cool fluff about them being attacked by a warp beast (Although I don't think she would be too flattered :D )

I would try and salvage what you could.

The none salvageable items would make very good piece for terrain (drifting hulks etc)  or maybe even the basis of your very own Ork cruisers and battleships.  Afterall they're based on captured Imperial ships anyway.

Ultimately it depends upon how much money you have.  If enough for a brand spanking new fleet, then go for it.  If not, however, some TLC is needed.

There is no reason why you cant do both. You could do the best to repair the casualties, using the rest for hulks or scenery. You can also now be justified to buy a new fleet, one that you never had. I simply said that I hate repainting and fixing minis, and I am slow enough at painting to always have a load of spares around.  :laugh:
