ok I gotta ask: what's the secret to the "metalic black" on your Iron Hands? :)

The armour on the troops/vehicles is done with a base coat of Testors Intermediate Blue FS35164 spray paint. The areas that are to be black are then drybrushed using GW Runelord Brass.
Next the whole thing is washed (twice for the vehicles) using Woodland Scenics Black Pigment C1220.
The metal/silver areas were painted with GW Runefang Steel and washed with GW Imperial Primer.

Well painting the Iron Hands for Frosthammer has persuaded me to build a 40K army of my own.
Anyone who has seen my favourite Epic Armageddon army will not be surprised to see that I've chosen the Iron Warriors.
Here is the first test miniature I painted to get things started – a Cataphractii Terminator.

Happy with that, I started on the first on my FW MkIII Tactical Marines.

The bases are from Dragon Forge Design and the bionics are from Anvil Industry.

A few hours painting and they now look like this:

Don't worry, Epic is still my game of choice! ;D

More soon.
Steve.

Some 15mm WWII Terrain...

This is the old JR miniatures Monte Casino Ruins

The building was painted my a friend an local painter. I built the foundation and painted it. I am proud that is a near seamless look between the pieces.

Enjoy and watch out for the panzerfaust wielding Germans.

Just wonderful! What's the ratio you're using on your pigments?

Pretty much straight out of the bottle. :)
