Excellent stuff, I must admit that for WW2 our club plays alot of Flames of War however 5 or 6 of us were looking for a more recent game system. Have you played Cold War Commander yet and if so how did you find it. We have ordered the rules set and some minis from GHQ but wanted to find what others' experience of it has been?

I havent played cold war commander, but from the look of it, it is very similar to blitzkrieg commander.
I would advise having a look on the BKC/CWC website and forum (if you havent already). Pete, the rules writer, is on there alot and answers questions etc very quickly.
cheers.

a bit off topic, i went on a battlefield tour last weekend to Belgium, took some photos and stuff.....have a look at my blog, if interested.
Ive just got a load of Matilda 2s through the post, now all i need is a few hours to get them painted, so watch this space for some strange looking camo schemes.....

i found this, its an A10 cruiser at Bovington museum.
i think this is the way my Matildas will be painted, there seems to be a lot of variation with the caunter camo scheme, some tanks were apparently even painted with a purple scheme for the Sudan..........

Very nice pic ! Those colors should work ! I didn't know the UK had Tanks in the Sudan ? I'm guessing in the '39-'41 time frame ?

Yes, thanks, that's what I figure. A handful were probably stationed in the Sudan before the war broke out. And were sent to Egypt when the Italians pushed across the Libyan border. And then participated in Operation Compass, in Dec. of '40

And I just got an e-mail from GHQ (I'm on their list!), among other things they have Marmon-Harrington Mk.II for sale. And the pics shows one in that 3 color camo !
