But all is not lost. ?the French pilot moves in agressively (agian!) to finish his prey. ?

The German pilot in a last hope to shake the French madmad pulls his plane into a near stall. ?The French overshoots the Albatross and the German pilot grabs his triiger with both bloody hands to squeeze the trigger of his twin machine guns.

The damage on the Spad forces him to break left.

The German sees his chnace and breaks right and opens the throttle to make for home.

The French pilot cannot catch the Albatross once he has recovered control of his plane. ?

While he did not gain the revenge he was seeking there is one German pilot who will not make the next monring patrol. ?

Maybe he'll crash on when he lands he thinks as he shakes his fist at the Boche!

The End

Fantastic Luis!

As you know I LIVE WW1 games - and these models and stands are just great!

I also also a fan of Snoopy (have you heard the song "Snoopy vs the Red Baron"?) - I have a beagle (like Snoopy) who (like Snoopy) lies on the top of his kennel.  If I ever see him in goggles and a silk scarf I'll know what he has been up to!

A true classic!    I also like the Snoopy vs Red Baron Christmas song.

Sounds like great fun, CC.

Those Wings of War planes do come painted.  There not bad either.  Only problem is they are sold out everywhere.

CC - I am after some basic WW1 flyng rules to muck about with my son (we have been reading Biggles as a bed time story).  Ive been out of the WW1 flying game for a bit - do you have any recommendations?

Blue Max Canvas Eagles

The rules are free so investment is low.

You can easily use toy airplanes. of any consistant size

We further simplify the rules with the following additions.

Only one altitude change allowed as oppsoed to the climb and dive rates of the planes.

No ammo tarcking

No fuel tracking.

No optional critial damage

If you stay in the early era and use the first airplanes the maneuver options are very limited as such it will not overwhelm a young novice, or old one either.

Such as the Fokker E3 and the Moraine Saulnier BB are both very early planes with just a few options.

Try taht out and see if it works.

I would also recommend a very small playing area.

Good luck
