1/2000 ships from Valiant Enterprise's Fighting Sail line.

British and French on the board:

2 British 74 gun Ships of the Line and 2 British 36 gun Frigates:

A closer look at the SOL's:

6 French 36 gun Frigates:

A closer look at the Frigates:

I didn't paint these ships.  I will get my chance soon enough as I have 120 gun, 100 gun, 80 gun, 74 gun Ships of the Line; 44 gun Frigates; 20 gun Sloops of War; 18 gun Brigs of War; 16 gun Schooners; 26 gun East Indiaman; and about 30 ships boats (will be used as gun boats) en route.

Good stuff, I played that years ago. Much better with the ships. They actually look feasible to put together unlike some I've seen too...  :))

Yes, I too played that years ago. Those ships look great ... much better than the counters !  :agree:

I used to play this game 20 years ago and have been looking for a copy for the past 5. I am so green with envy.

Great ships, lovely game. :alien:

You can still find copies around, ranging in price from about $50-$100.  But Hasbro has also released it for free:

RULES

COUNTERS, MAPS, etc..

Agreed. Using ships instead of counters was a great idea.

GMT's Flying Colors has been a popular successor to WSIM, as is Clash of Arms Close Action (?).
