Hi all. I wondered if anyone could offer me some advice as to basing up Warmaster Ancients figures. I currently have a lot of 15mm figures who are based on 5cm x 2.5cm bases, 6 for infanty and 4 for cavalry. I am getting the cavalry rebased because they are way too crowded, and it got me thinking that maybe I should rebase the lot to conform with the 4x2 warmaster ancients convention. Does anyone with game experience think that 5x2.5 would work as a base size, so long as it was uniform between my armies, and what effect should this have on movement distances and so on? |

i dont think it matters much what base sizes you use, so long as they are the same for both armies, move distances etc i would leave the same for simplicitys sake. it might cause problems if your gaming against someone with 40mm by 20mm bases though......... |

Yes, that was my worry. Luckily I have two armies, and a pedantic desire for historical recreation, when it comes to ancient gaming! So Franks and Romans on the Rhine it is. |
