I've always been quite the fan of Man O'War, ever since getting an issue of White Dwarf back in the day and seeing that Plague Fleet was being released. I've got a fairly substantial collection of MoW now, and was in the process of scratch building some Orc ships when I came in here talking about epic Squats.

Does anyone in here play MoW? Have you thought about it? Let's get the ball rolling on an awesome piece of GW history!

Awesome game, i used to love my chaos dwarves and the grea levellers.

Some army imbalance though, skaven with skitterleaping their bell ship and destroying fleets was one of them, and orcs were very underpowered i think too.

Alot of fun though :)

I just had the rules bounded myself. I was going to talk a mate into giving it a go however they are all stick on Warmaster at present.

I am hoping to have a game of it in February some time if I can manage that. Probably have to use 2D pics however as I have no minis :(

frogbear, the answer to that is simplicity itself, simply pick up a dozen copies of dreadfleet and use those.....

I have 1 copy. That idea could get pricey.

I have found someone with a 3D printer. No doubt I will get something intermediary off them :)

weirdly dreadfleet is the only GW game so far that my wife has shown an interest in..... I will say the red 3D printed prototypes at warhammer world do look pretty awesome.... is the game itself a huge pile?

No idea. Bought the thing, took the rules out to read, then the group showed interest in Warmaster. I may get onto it this year - no rush :D

Man o War first however

No, the game itself is both quite fun and quite well designed. It's really a pity... it really is... that GW doesn't want to expand and support it, as it did with MoW for all-too-short a time span.

IMO, the best basic rules set ever produced by GW. I have an Empire fleet and a small Dark Elf fleet too (unpainted). The expansion was a stinker and totally broke the balance of the game. The Great Leveller in particular was a shocker and the Skaven weren't far behind.
