Er - guys, don't look now, but you DO know that the CAV Mk1 rules are downloadable for free from the Reaper site, don't you? And they also sell CAV parts - check the Boneyard link on the lect and look for CAV parts. Reaper official site

I'm actually using the legs from a Starhawk VI CAV for my Warlord Mk1b "upgrade. I've cut the "shields" of the legs of the regular beetleback legs and mounted them on the front of the Starhawk legs.
Starhawk VI
I'm also using some of the CAV weapons attached on new arms mounted on the Dream Pod 9 Mammoth Strider body... which itself is mounted on the Starhawk legs.
If I finally get around to replacing my digital camera I'll definitely post some pics. It's a lot more beefy than the regular beetleback.

Maksim/Iain, at $5 for a CAV figure Id probably be interested (Id somehow lost this thread for a day or two). If possible you could always post any figs to CS and I could pick them up at the Epicomms meetup? If thats OK with you guys? Maksim, I'll pm you with numbers... (I am, like most here, a sucker for lead, especially mechs and spaceships...).
Vanvlak, couldnt find the free rules on the Reaper site (although going by the conversation I have just had with UPS on the phone "my package for Korea went to Manchester? Riiight...", I may be having a thick morning...), but did find:
Free Science Fiction Wargames Rules
Is that it? May have a gander at those tonight...

Ta muchly. It looks the same as the one I found, but I think I will trust yours from the actual makers of the game V
Might have a gander at that tonight.
Although it vaguely veers off topic, has anyone else looked at Hasbro's Heroscape game for possible hex terrain? Id origional thought of it for Battletech, but CAV uses 'em too. Ive seen it at the last two GenCon UK's, and it looks quite appealing (not perfect, mind). Only issue I have really is its $40 in the states, which is good, but ?40 here!
Linkage:
Heroscape Official Site
Heroscape Boardgame Geek Site (better piccies).

Hi Guys,
I'll try to get by the shop tomorrow and see what they have in terms of CAV minis.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi Guys,
I still haven't gotten a chance to get by Great Escape Games. My father needed help with my sick mother and the house chores today. My mother came down with some kind of really bad sinus infection.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
