Hi! The idea has been floating around for ages, but it was Dwarf Supreme, his pictures and advice that final gave me the courage to give it a try. I dedicate this thread to him and hope the information herein proves useful. Part 1 The stuff. The hardest part is what to use. There is a lot to choose from out there and no all of it is useful for this purpose. This is frequently a persons biggest hurdle. I have listed what I have used with links. These represent what I found most "optimal" after trial and error. First you'll need some sheets of metal. The amount of sizes, gauges and a whole host of information may be confusing. Also, just because its "metal" does not mean a magnet will adhere to it! So principally you want magnets to stick to it and be thin enough to punch holes through it. I bought this at Lowes, but should be available in any similar hardware store. http://www.lowes.com/Search=metal+sheet ... al+sheets#! The size of the sheet is not that important, the THICKNESS is. I would use 26 gauge (about 0.025 of an inch thickness) or thinner. The sheet should be pliable in your hands. If it is too rigid it may be too thick. I would also suggest to shop for your sheets with the magnets you intend to use and make sure they stick! Primarch |

Hi! Magnets They now make small very strong magnets. They should be 1/4 of an inch in diameter and 1/32 inch in thickness. Anything larger may look awkward and will be difficult to "conceal" with paint or green stuff. The picture shows 200 magnets. I got these for about 60 dollars here: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/products.asp?cat=10 You want to buy axially magnetized discs (the sticky part at the two flat parts on top and bottom, not the sides). They are pretty small, but very strong, don't let the size fool you! Primarch |

Hi! Hole puncher. You need to have a tool to punch the discs the magnets will adhere too. There are several ones out there but I found this to be cost effective and give you options on hole sizes. If you search under metal disc puncher set you will get many links to suitable sets. http://www.amazon.com/SE-Disc-Cutter-Pu ... Hi! Apply one small magnet to each of the sites you sanded. Primarch |

Hi! At this point you can paint the titan and for those with skill I think you can use that "green stuff" to hide the metal discs or eliminate the recess to make it unnoticeable. I must say that the ability to swap weapons is great and I am so glad I attempted this successfully and will be converting everything this way. Thanks for listening! Primarch |

Hmm magnets are great but for my taste those are way too big and not very good looking on the titan. What I did for my warlord, was that I used 3 mm diameter and 1 mm thick magnets. That size is exactly the size of the titans own weapon holes so they fit perfectly. Also they are easily powerful enough to stay on the titan and movable. Also they dont show too much outside. I will put some pics on another thread. Good job though! Magnets are cool cuz they give you so much choose to arm your titans. |

I also saw they sell "ring" shaped and "rod" shaped magnets. I can think of some interesting ways to use those as well. Primarch |
