I'm looking forward to playing areonef soon, scratch building them. So I'm looking for turrets in 1/1200th, and also large scale drop tanks to make digs. Any Ideas ?

Beads and small lengths of solder for turrets, and have a look at plastic fuel tanks in 1/48 scale. Some companies do aircraft munitions sets in boxes which will give you heaps.
Good luck with the building Ian and be sure to post some pics! I have a few of my own on my VSF blog here: http://pauljamesog.blogspot.com/
cheers!

paul - I'm actually using some BFG turrets (I completed a Chaos ship as gun rather than Lance), and I've found a set of 1/700th US WW2 destroyer weapons - Skywave i think, so the turret problem is OK, once I can get hold of some mini-ships (Revell 1/1200). Models arnt that good, I'm having trouble making them symetrical, although some people were impressed.
I'd already thought about the drop tanks, another possibility is the bomb from a Hustler, think monogram made that in the 60's, in 1/72, but probably very expensive these days.

They have been trying to bring back the Zepplins for a while now. Use them for cargo and sight seeing from what I understand. If you do an internet search there is quite a lot on the new modern ones.
