Hi All,
MC23 asked me to post a reply to this topic, but I think all I can really do is to underline and reinforce the point he has made above. One thing we realised when we reviewed the old-style forums was that they had become focusssed on games development issues. This was fine if you were a games developer, but wasn't actually the main purpose of the forums on our website, which are primarily here to allow discussion of the game and dealing with things like rules questions and announcements etc. In fact all of the discussions about experimental rules and army lists rather got in the way of just talking about the official version of the game. On this basis having development of experimental rules taking place elsewhere is rather a good thing, and I'm quite happy to see it continue.
With regard the ammount of traffic and confidence in Epic, I'm sure that both will increase when we start producing more models next year and publish the rules review. Once people get to see new stuff coming out supported by official rules on this website, then I'm pretty sure that there will be lots of discussion on this forum about what the new (no longer experimental) rules are like.
Jervis
Best regards,

Edit: Made link all clicky like.

Hi Jervis,
Thanks for posting.
We fans really do need to hear you and the rest of the production gang once in awhile. You should receive an e-mail from me regarding the E-A 'Nid list anytime now.
I also agree that new miniatures and rules will go along way towards dispelling any lack of product confidence.
All the changes and shake-ups have been very bad for consumer confidence. Most of us Army Champions took a big hit with all the forum changes.
It's only been in the last month or two that the Tyranid team has reconstituted itself.
The good news is that the E-A Tyranid list is mostly to the point of trying to balance units, which means that we're almost done. There are very few queries about the rules themselves anymore.
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
