Does anybody know anything about this? It seems to be for 40k but hopefully We'll see it for Epic too. Someday. Even though it's not the best model I've seen...

Wow! ?
Didn't see that in the F/W NL!
It looks like it will be the size of a F/W Valk.
Hope to see that in Epic!

It's the basis for the new scenery for the new Warhammer 40K boxed set. FW being FW have obviously decided to release it early....
Personally I think it is awful.
BTW Legion it was in the FW newsletter
Anyone want to see some photos of some forthcoming models? Try this! http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/aquila.htm The master model for the Aquila Imperial Lander was made by Daren Parrwood quite a few months ago. Immediately after finishing the master it was broken into lots of pieces. Why? So it could become some great new plastic scenery in a soon to be released 40K box set. Daren super-detailed the Aquila including adding a gothic style interior to the passenger compartment. This model is BIG! The Aquila has a wingspan of about 400mm! (That?s nearly 16 inches in old money.) The model features a clear resin canopy for the observation dome and the main fuselage swings down to the ground to allow the passengers to disembark.

Thanks, Jimbo... in my haste I missed it! ?
I'm getting old and need "a little help from my friends!" ?
Still look forward to getting one or two in Epic scale... if it is ever released!

It isn't the worst model FW have produced... but it does look very odd in my opinion. The landing legs are weird and make it seem rather like a bird; perhaps that was the desired effect, it being an eagle 'n all, but it looks.... well.. daft?

Umm - I think I like it, but the wings are a bit too thick and the tail section too flimsy - especially with the pod lowered.

I dont like this either. The whole thing looks like it was assembled by Orks, who put every piece on backwards!
Also, it just doesnt look like it would ever get off the ground (how would it do this with skids and no down-jets, anyway?). I have images of it jumping into the air and flapping those big wings!

Maybe in Epic scale it won't look as bad ?! ?It does look ungainly. ?I think the "eagle" look is what they were going for. ?Kind of goofy, in the same light as the new Warhound ... But I have one of those on preorder and should arrive in a week or so. I'm such a fool ! ?

The Warhound is kind of different, in that it looks ace!! ...whereas the Aquila... er.. does not...
