I was just looking through the boards here, and I wondered if there was still a requirement for this board to exist. I realise that this may be an emotional decision for some, but since the site does not exist as a seperate entity any more, is there need for a place to talk about it?

No

How about changing it's name to Felix's Gaming Pages instead

If you put a link on your site to these boards, I would be happy to add a board for your site.

Can we migrate the posts from this form to the NetEPIC.org one? We might need to rename NetEPIC.org to The EPICentre, as some people will connect using Epic40k.com and others with NetEPIC.org

As a side note, Epic40k.com is there :), http://www.epic40k.com/EPIC40k hasn't been updated as there isn't any Epic40k submissions but it is still there archived.

Sure. There are no real posts in this section to be migrated, so that should not be a problem. And we can rename the NetEpic board to The EPICentre.

I know that www.epic40k.com still exists, but as a static site it will not generate a lot of discussion.
:D

I thought that the articles from www.epic40k.com would be transfered to the EpiCentre in the end, in an effort to merge the two sites.

I am now wondering if it wouldnt be better to have a board for general web site news, Jimbos updates, Specialist picture news, AoFK galleries, Dropship additions, etc. What do people think?

Of course, Jimbo, if there was a link in the main banner of your site, then you would become an associated member, like the NetEpic site, and that would be completely different... waits with anticipation!  :D

It would makee it a lot easier to boil everything down to a single Epic Websites board. With so relatively little happeening up here I don't think it would do any harm.

Cheers! :)

Hi!

I'm feeling somewhat "dense" today, but what's wrong with keeping the board as is?

Does it really need to be moved?

I must admit that I haven't understood this thread either.

The forums are working fine exceoting the occasional miscreant throwing wrenches in the works like...

Maksim-Smelchak!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I'm actually with CS on this.

Here's a question, where is the best place to post the following:

Forgeworld Newsletter with details of new epic miniatures ?

Forgeworld Newsletter with details of new miniatures (but not epic) ?

Dropship update that includes epic, how about one that doesn't?

Update to Felix's Gaming Pages ?

Details of the Specialist Games picture of the day?

Updates to the Mercenary Brush?

etc etc...

If there is an update to netepic, there is a place on these boards for it!

If there is an update to epic40k.co.uk, there is a place!

Any why this section of the board is based on the assumption that this is the place to post updates to epic40k.com which actually never gets updated?

I do believe it would be useful to have a news board for updates, copies of newsletters etc etc...

Everyone is right the whole board is working as it is, but I do feel as CS brought it up that this specific board isn't really necessary and maybe could be replaced.

"Wot 'E Sed....."

I agree that this board is redundant - Epic 40k.com is a stagnent site. Whilst some still refer to it rather than the EpiCenter (& not just me - as proven inthe "cool sites" thread on the playtesters forum!), its notbeing & not going to be updated.

However, a board for general News from the Web would be a useful resource. Its what I hoped to achieve onthe news pages on Epic40K.com when I first set up the site - a one stop checkpoint for epic news & updates across the web where anyone could add a post to an update or post a newsletter.
