Actually that facility is on the EPICentre (netepic.org or epic40k.com as whichever you prefer). You don't need to be a member to submit news and if it is accepted by any of the sites moderators then it will be displayed on the main screen as news. Fully automated system. You just need to click on 'Submit news' on the modules form (top left), then select the category of the news article, then type in the news piece. Don't forget the EPICentre is a resource for all EPIC sites, not just NetEPIC.org and Epic40k.com, feel free to pop by and let us know about any updates you do to your site. |

Tom, I realise that you've built the facility into the EpiCenter & I congratulate you on a great system for it, but I do think that maybe a section of the forum may encourage more people to utilise it (to date I can remember one headline published which hasnt come from yourself, Primarch or Doug). No Offence is intended at all by this, I just know how many posts these forums get & indeed quite a lot on such issues as other sites updates. Whilst the EpiCenter "has it covered" (and admirably so), the webgoing public appear to prefer posting to the forums here! |

Perhaps my intention here is not getting across as I had hoped. All that I am suggesting is to make this board - the one dedicated to www.epic40k.com, not any other part of these forums - widened in scope to include any web-related news. The entire rest of the forum will stay exactly as it is, as I completely agree with the 'not broke, dont fix it' philosophy (especially where more work is concerned  )The reason is that there should not be much news about www.epic40k.com (except to say how very cool it is!) and it would be good to have a place to post any web-related updates and news, including www.epic40k.com, Dropship, Felix pages, etc. All that would really happen would be that this board would get a name change from 'www.epic40k.com' to something like 'Web News Roundup'. |

Seeing as there are two sides here, one for keeping this forum, and one for changing it to a web news roundup forum, why not please everyone by keeping this forum, and just making a new one for the web news? Cheers Chris |

Chris: That is what I have been suggesting all along! I think that the only way to explain what I mean, is to do it. So, I have. This is all that I was thinking about, converting the www.epic40k.com board to one dedicated to all web sites out there, news on updates and any sites that people may not have found out there. Any comments, now that we should all know what I am fumbling around trying to explain? Thanks. |
