Ok - I can now confirm that I am going to Games Day! I will be accompanied by my trusty Lieutenant and drinking partner Stuart Galvin (he is the subject of most of the pics online).
So it will be cool to meet up with you guys.

Quote (netepic @ 23 2003 June,12:27) | Paul - will you be wearing your Epic40k.com t-shirt? I was thinking that we could get a load of t-shirts printed for all the guys associated with the Nexus. For example:
Me, Chris, Paul, Doug, Cybershadow, Jimbo, etc then we wouldn't miss each other in the crowd.
Perhaps the back of each t-shirt could have our own websites logo on it? (Netepic.org/Epic40k.com, DeAynes, Epic40k.com, Incoming!, Epic40k.co.uk, Felix's gaming pages. Might be fun. | That sounds an interesting idea. I would go for that.
It would probably be quite expensive though.

As you can tell from my Gallery photos... I am an expert at it!
I reckon that Stu should have this one on his T-Shirt, seeing as he does have a website to advertise...
Stu's Potential T-Shirt Logo
What do you reckon? Suitably humourous?
For the rest of us, how about a Nexus logo on the back, and an enlarged version of our icon/logo on the front?

I'm nt decided on the old T-Shirt, but am up for getting a new one
As I've said many times before, such things can be very useful at these events, for both recognising each other and making yourself known to the big names.

Well, I just got back from a week off and all this happens!!!
As for T-Shirts, I think it would be an EXCELENT idea! As I have already got my GD ticket, count me in!
I was going to have a t-shirt made for De'Aynes for the event, but matching onces would be cool!!
As for hair - Tom, if yours was green, then we would recognise you easily (unless someone else has green hair...). I may have to find a suitably loud hair colour myself...
Cheers
Chris
PS - I eagerly await these T-Shirt pics...
PPS - Who is going to GD? All I know is me, Tom and Doug. Who has got a ticket?

Ah, Chris, was wondering where you'd got too....
Where'd you go off too, if you don't mind me asking?

No, I don't mind you asking. I was off camping with my (former) school, in a little village called Hathersage in England. They needed helpers for the week, and as my life was rather boring now I left, I volunteered. I wish I hadn't...
Basically it was helping to teach the kids citizenship. They only stayed one night on camp, and did activities across two days, team building etc. So all in all I helped look after 4 classes full of smart arse 13 year olds, and helping on the camp site. On the last day, Friday, I walked up a mountain (read big hill) in the pouring rain for 6 hours. My so-called waterproof jacket failed, and I was soaked through to the skin...
So for four mornings I was up at 6am and to bed at 12. No fun when I usually stay in bed till 9 or 10... So when I got home I had 12 hours sleep. I was dead to the world.
And thats what I have been doing for the past week. It was a bit like ground hog day really, I did the same schedual (sp?) 4 days in a row. Oh, and I got sunburnt sat at an open air pool on a sunny day whilst looking at (rather nice) 19 year olds in bikinis.
Good and bad points to the week really.
Cheers
Chris
