Sounds great, Tuff. Let us know how it all goes and I hope that we will see pictures of your minis, and group shots would be interesting, too!
I wont be going this year, although I think that Shadow Hunter will be going. I will expect a complete and full report!

I'm taking my digi-cam as well, so that makes three of us. And I'm not leaving till my memory card is full!!! [add evil laugh]
Scandalous rumours... I like the sound of that!
Any ideas up to now?
Cheers, Chris.

I meant to say I will be entering either Battlescene or Open competiton and either the Single Mini or Squad Comp. I obviously had a brief finger spasm as it didn't come out like that in my previous message. It just depends whether I make a retinue for my Single Mini & whether Epic is allowed in the Battlescene Category this year.
I'm wondering whether I should post pictures of my minis or not since I may want to use them in the Epic GD. I could try and find the time to do two different sets I guess ? But it's unlikely I'd succeed in either if I attmept that!
As a side note, if anyone is really into small scale painting in a big way - the 10mm Painters Guild is a useful place and you may be able to find some of my Epic WIP's in their files sections too! ? (And no I haven't been paid to say that, just it's been pretty interesting in its short life so far!)
I won't be going this year, although I think that Shadow Hunter will be going. I will expect a complete and full report! |
Have I ever been anything other than thorough in my waffling on Gamesday?
I'll do my best to be as comprehensive as possible, and with the others there as well, I can't imagine we'll miss much!

Hi guys, went into GW Ipswich today, and after a game of BFG in the BattleBunker, I got my GamesDay ticket and coach ticket too, so I'll see you all there....

(a) leave all the Epic stuff in Nottingham (b) bring very little stuff and it will sell out quickly

Thanks for the advice Jimbo, I was planning on working out what I wanted and e-mailing it to them, so at least they could have it on site. Simple system, but the FW stand must be my first port of call...
Cheers
Chris

Another tip - If you do pre-order for payment/collection at Gamesday, dont get excited and pick it up as soon as you get there. carrying round a box is annoying as hell if you buy a lot & whatever you get, carrying it around with you all day is asking for it to get damaged.
leave it until the end of the day (its always dead quiet at the stand during the prize ceramony / video presentation if they have one) and you dont risk breaking them before you even get them home! Been there.. done that.....

Yeah, cheers Jimbo, I'm gonna be saving up to get Epic FW stuff, and as well as IG I hope to get some Eldar tanks, if they release some more by the time GamesDay comes around...

thats sounds advice about FW orders however I didnt know you could leave the collection til later in the day, I thought they only saved it til a specific time unless its been paid for. I thought I had read that somewhere but my old age is getting the better of me and I cant remember where I saw that. Hmmmm would be better not to carry stuff around and gives you chance to look around without worry about your stuff getting knocked about.
