Big skimmer

Looks like front dual heavy bolters, 2 side sponson twinlinked lascannon, the turret looks like accelerator cannon simular to the sicaran.
I bet it also has 2 void shields due to the dome thingy on the back hull.

Found this so I was close.

a pair of macro-accelerator cannons
sponson-mounted las-rippers or plasma eradicators.
rear mounted storm bolter
void shields
an enhanced repulsor field (anti-flyer rules)
No Transport Capacity
Steel Behemoth rule
Power of the Machine Spirit
and more!

A lot of the same lines as this.
Does Vanguard have a secret GW designer fan?

Shame on Forgeworld. It needs at least four more turret mountings. Stormhammer up that bad boy! I'm *sure* that would help!

I actually think it's a wonderful model...for Infinity. It looks like great sci-fi, but not at all 40K, at least to me.

i dont find it very 40k-ish, but to be fair if it was a unit in an RTS id probably say it was cool. could see if swooshing around in sup com

looks like is shoul have transport though. also looks like a fire raptor with boxes on the side

That's fair and really how I see it. It's not objectively awful and certainly not a technically bad sculpt, but compared to the gothic architecture and dystopian horror of earlier artwork (that oldnerds like I probably got drawn in by) it's a really obvious divergence that feels like it's diluting the unique setting that GW established with "generic swooshy tank #5".

Thus, speaking from that PoV, as a Space Marine tank it's just a generic sort of bad.

I love the Vanguard tank, while I think that that one is just nice.

I think the problem is that when you look at the Ultramarines painted version it looks incredibly drab and monchrome, which is very much at odds with the non-gothic sci-fi style of the tank.

So that leads me to ask is the painting the issue or the tank?

The UM one isn't especially wonderfully painted. Needs some more highlighting and shading, but hey, it's also a huge model so that'd take a long while.

Was going to say - I would add some claws to the front to help it climb up walls, otherwise brilliant! :)
