The rules themselves were just... poor. Attempts to balance early on led to a complete over-reaction and a stripping of rules that borderline crippled at least one faction that was based around specific rules that got gutted. It all felt very rushed, yet still took entirely too long to push anything useful out, traits which a lot of their later stuff shared. Hopefully any IP buyers will look at individual lines for development and not try to grab everything and manage everything in the same way Spartan did. |

Wayland Games has purchased some of the rights to Spartan games Their company name is Warcradle Studios So some hope for this still. |

Interesting update on this. I assume that I'm not the first to hear about the Warcradle Studios (Wayland Games, essentially) news, but just in case it seems that the non-Halo systems have been fully bought out and are on the schedule for a next year re-release. http://www.beastsofwar.com/warcradle-st ... -settings/ Quick, Jimmy, now is the time to yell at them for sea walls!

Psst. Sea walls? The sea walls MIGHT make a return with Uncharted Seas supposedly set to make an appearance at some point in 2018. There's also new Warcradle forums up at https://community.warcradle.com/ for those interested in the various Spartan Games IPs |
