Well, if it's 7.5mm scale, 6mm terrain would be ok. If it's 8mm scale, one could probably get away with 6mm or 10mm terrain, though neither would be perfect. If it's 6mm scale, then you really don't want 10mm terrain. Basically I would start with the hills and rivers. ;)

I would definitely start with non-scale specific features. But in the build I plan there isn't going to be any.

So say something like a street. Or the height of a door.
What suggestions would you all have for the size of those vital things?

Personally I wouldn't do anything before seeing the models. GW doesn't know what scale its own miniatures are in most of the time.

Eh, I've made the scale on mine compatible for anything between 6 and 10mm I think. Doubt it'll be bigger!

"Imperial Knights are Cataphractii sized. Marine is about 8mm."

So if i reckon right, knight is 40mm ish? Meaning warhound is about 80mm? Does that sound similar to true scale?

It puts AT scale as approx 1:4 versus Epic's Titan scale of 1:5. I think.

True scale warhound is about 70mm and a true scale knight is 30 to 40mm dependant on variant so it seems we already have AT scale models that will be compatible with the new range which makes me feel a whole lot better about the scale change as all they are doing is true scaling the models which we've been doing for ages.

Wait a minute.... I thought the new release was not going to feature infantry (or any non-titans) unless it sold really well?

Anyway,

I know most on here don't particularly care what GW is doing with 40K currently, but it might be worth noting that the are introducing new marine minis that are significantly taller than the traditional 40k marine figs.

Yeah, thats kinda what i figured - TS is a likely to be a little smaller than the new AT, but not as much different as many of the models already being used together in epic already (though we are basing everything on rough anecdotal size comparisons from GW here)!

Sad news for me and the other "old school scalers" but i guess we need to get with the program! :-)
