I don't really buy that idea.

Me neither, I was just grasping at what straws I could see. It's at least left open as a slight possibility.

Just note that HH is staying in 7th according to them.

Latest word is that HH will use the 7th edition rules for a little while longer, but only because they need more time to transfer everything to 8th. That's based on an email reply someone got from FW saying that they were going to release 8th ed rules when they could do so in a "full and complete" manner but couldn't comment on timeline, etc.

Actually the quote was they'll follow through to the end with a rule set based on 7th Ed rules and they will also have a complete 8th edition set / port / compendium as well. That way you can play end to end with your choice of rules. Smart decision really. Now if they actually follow through with that or if 8th becomes default and the heresy 7th variant is an also too deal will have to be seen. At the rate they're actually making it through things they might be onto 9th before we get to Terra!! Ha! :)

Jokes aside, losing Alan could very well be detrimental to any continuity.

Your stands are just pretty tokens. The size of the model doesn't matter (I've seen people use 40k figures way back when for marine stands for example). In addition, using your existing models with the new game will undoubtedly work too. Your ranges may change the ratio to scale but not affect the game itself. Can we finally end the continual fretting about this? :P
You are right of course. In principle. However, I don't think that the magnificent rules, social acceptance or anything else than cool minis made "the hobby" what it is. It is a fair bit more than elaborate Chess Pieces.

From adaptus astartes page, via Lords Of War

- Talked to the fw designers about titanicus. Its been pushed back for necromunda
- Paladin knights are the smallest models for it at the size of a catti terminator
- Reavers are contemptor size ish
- The warlords is between the redemptor and knight size
- And the warlord is going to be just shy of the knight
- The emp will ether be in scale with the rest at the size of a lancer or be a more manageable size tbd
- But all will now be in plastic because its been delayed
- And all of them are fully pose able but with tabs like the redemptor has

Imperator class confirmed!

Andy Hoare has commented underneath that it was NOT pushed back because of necromunda, another comment states that Andy has a date lined up for the release but would not say in case they could not stick to it.

Slightly OT but BFG was commented on: apparently its years off (Tony C) and will be battlefleet heresy, not gothic.
Andy again has said no scale has been decided on for BFG (of BFH rather!) But I think this is a way of shutting the guy up yelling about how GW are screwing over the loyal fans with scale change (yawn!)

Hi!

By March 2018, that is not too far off. :)

I was so distracted by the return of Necromunda that I'd almost (but not quite :P) forgotten about Adeptus Titanicus!

I don't doubt the veracity, but am just curious - what's the source on this?

Hi!

I think I saw it on the FW Facebook group for the new AT.

I think some "official" GW post stuff about it there.

If I remember correctly it was supposidly mentioned on one of the videos / interviews GW puts out these days. This is third hand information though, I can never be bothered to watch such videos online.

I'm not sure Forge World is large enough to handle its usual workload plus Specialist Games. Blood Bowl's been badly hurt by the glacial release rate of new teams, and before they've been able to fix that they've gone and released Necromunda. They'll only have released three of the six core gangs when Adeptus Titanicus comes out (if March '18 is accurate), and each gang is apparently coming out with a rules supplement. At the last Open Day they said that Gang War III will be a significant one, with a greatly expanded armory, and it's scheduled for mid-2018.

Meanwhile, the Horus Heresy game last got a FAQ when 40k went from 6th to 7th edition, and desperately needs another one for the last two campaign books and all of the current army list books. The new (delayed) rulebook, which is mostly a reorganized reprint of 7th edition 40k, only addresses a few questions, those that relate to the core rules rather than unit entries.

They've hired more sculptors, and rumor has it a few were from GW and that's upset the mothership.

I'd actually be more confident about Titanicus if it were scheduled for late 2018.

Hi!

All good points. Particularly Blood Bowl, which its initial steam seems to have been squandered due to the glacial release schedule.

Which is why beyond an intial boxed game for the new AT I expect little else. I find it odd how much deusional thinking there is out there on different forums thinking this is somehow a prelude to "epic".

Not going to happen.

It will probably take years just to fully cover Horus heresy Imperial style titans and thier weapons, let alone xeno titans and that is IF it sells well.

I wish they'd stuck with their original "rules only" box set. At least I'd have those rules by now.

Probably more than anything that's caused delays and mucked things up at FW and HH and related was the death of Alan Bligh. He was the Joss Whedon of the Horus Heresy there.

Hi!

Yes, I read about that. A great loss to all things Heresy. Seems whatever reorganization will occur will make things that much slower.
