Me neither, I was just grasping at what straws I could see. It's at least left open as a slight possibility.

Latest word is that HH will use the 7th edition rules for a little while longer, but only because they need more time to transfer everything to 8th. That's based on an email reply someone got from FW saying that they were going to release 8th ed rules when they could do so in a "full and complete" manner but couldn't comment on timeline, etc.

By the way, plastic models have been confirmed during the FW Open Day.

Copied directly from the facebook group:

From adaptus astartes page, via Lords Of War

- Talked to the fw designers about titanicus. Its been pushed back for necromunda
- Paladin knights are the smallest models for it at the size of a catti terminator
- Reavers are contemptor size ish
- The warlords is between the redemptor and knight size
- And the warlord is going to be just shy of the knight
- The emp will ether be in scale with the rest at the size of a lancer or be a more manageable size tbd
- But all will now be in plastic because its been delayed
- And all of them are fully pose able but with tabs like the redemptor has

Imperator class confirmed!

Andy Hoare has commented underneath that it was NOT pushed back because of necromunda, another comment states that Andy has a date lined up for the release but would not say in case they could not stick to it.

Slightly OT but BFG was commented on: apparently its years off (Tony C) and will be battlefleet heresy, not gothic.
Andy again has said no scale has been decided on for BFG (of BFH rather!) But I think this is a way of shutting the guy up yelling about how GW are screwing over the loyal fans with scale change (yawn!)

8mm still sounds small. I made an 8mm Land Raider and Marine to compare with the current crop.
I must say holding an 8mm LR in hand feels massive. Like a 6mm warengine.
The models have the same details, I didn't reduce the size of the rivets or the indents.
Obviously you could cram a bit more detail in the model.
Even with the same "model", you have differences, like the better definition of the U-ltramine and that you can discern feathers of the eagle on the LR.

Color ist still wet - literally.

Hi!

I expected them to be significantly bigger, its nice to actually see that size.

Superb work on proving this Brumbaer!

As I have said from the beginning, the scale selection is typical GW. All it does is make all the 6mm look out of place in relation to 8mm models.

Mission accomplished.

It would look kinda wrong playing a 6mm army versus an 8mm army, but the game should still be playable that way. EpicA doesn't specify base sizes for most units and so long as the new standard infantry base is less than 40mm across a future epic army should still be legal and usable in EpicA.

I'm curious about the sizing of the new titans, the estimates given refer to 40k models which I'm not that familiar with the actual sizes of. Does anyone have these models and the willingness to translate the heights of a contempor, redemptor, ect into cm? I'm curious how big the new titans will be in relation to existing models.

Look at the above scales in the flesh, the 8mm works for Space Marines in Epic in my eyes. Would it make Titans work? Possibly not, but it would certainly cement the idea of them being grand in scale. I have always felt that the Titans in Epic are a wee bit too small

Your stands are just pretty tokens. The size of the model doesn't matter (I've seen people use 40k figures way back when for marine stands for example). In addition, using your existing models with the new game will undoubtedly work too. Your ranges may change the ratio to scale but not affect the game itself. Can we finally end the continual fretting about this? :P
