May be the rumour years ago was true then, that epic got pulled as it was not pushing that much metal sale, i.e had taken sales away from the 28mm line ? Seems silly not to let stores stock the sg boxed sets ?

I'll confess to being partly on board. I didn't get the rules, and I thought the buildings were a missed opportunity to do something much better. But I couldn't resist buying a single Warlord and a box of knights. They are rather nice, and have almost too many bits for my current laziness, but could be useful for a spot of conversion work.
And they do include transfers too, something I appreciated although I will probably go for my own choice of colours.

Again, I'm probably missing something obvious, but a brief Google search didn't provide clues and I haven't been keeping track of the various rumour mills to have noticed anything.

So, question. I have a vague notion that Reavers are likely to be released September and Warhounds October or November, has anyone else heard the same from Warhammer Fest or some other source, or got any more detailed predictions?

GW works in strange ways … I'm just glad I can get what I want from my local hobby shop. But I have to tell him what I want from GW. Order on Tues … comes in on Fri. And again with 20% discount. So I'll probably be getting the Rules with Objective sprue, and sell off the rest. :-\ And I want the box set with 4 buildings too …

But as of yet … I've not "pulled the trigger" … :whistle 8) ^-^

I should have the models in my hands tomorrow, and I'm very excited about the number of bitz, as I'm a serial converter/modifier.

I already have some great ideas for re-posing the figures into something other than "standing still with wide stance," particularly the Warhounds. I imagine them making "cuts" like a running back or leaping over obstacles...

Without a full epic treatment th3 price has me turned off. I don’t much care for Titans, I want vast armies of infantry and tanks. Specifically Tau and Eldar infantry and tanks (and other non-super heavy units).

That said, if they do eventually come out with some plastic Eldar titans, I’ll probably have to get some just for display purposes.

Nice detail on the new scenery now we're seeing some good quality painters get working on them (I saw this on FB, it isn't mine).

Looking forward to cracking my scenery open. I've seen some cool configurations on FB, much better than anything GW used as examples. I might also see if the domes I got in the indigogo campaign fit on these ;)

If I wasn’t already so invested in a bunch of other stuff (or if I had someone to play with regularly) I probably would. As it is currently though, it would just be getting baggies of stuff and putting them in a box in a closet.

Plus, I don’t think I have seen any 3mm Tau or Eldar proxies available anywhere.

That's a handsome building!

I'm looking forward to kitbashing some cathedrals, etc.

I do hope Vanguard Miniatures would eventually do some 3mm Eloi...

This is a nice Legio Fureans titan painted up by Matt Woodsmith from the AT18 facebook group.

The flames were done using stencils from here.

I suspect that may be useful to people here as well. I for one was dreading painting flames for the Legio Astorum personally.
