That does seem a lot more favourable. They'll clearly be smaller, but I'm guessing it won't be a huge issue from across the table.

Question of taste and how bothered you are by the scale difference I guess. Personally I'm going to do new plastics for my loyalists but forum for my chaos legion and relative scale difference be damned.

Good shout, I'm very likely to do the same. I wouldn't mind differences between two Legios, but I'd prefer to avoid them in the same one. Now I just need to work out a second scheme.

Fairly close on the Warlord weapons. The Warlord / Reaver is not a good match though. Thanks for the pics!

My local hobby shop gives 20% off on all GW ! :o So I was thinking about getting the Horus Heresy box which has the Objective sprue. That I want and sell off the rest. >:D And the set of 4 new buildings … Instead of paying $100 + post direct from GW, I can pay $80 + tax … :eh :-\ :D ;D :spin :geek

you could probably get those titans sold for a good price. Hell I might even pick a warlord up off you

With post it may not be as good a deal though ? So what's 20% of $110 ? $25 ?

So I went to my local GW during lunch break and hey - they don't stock any AT! No base game, no rule books no Titans, no Knights, no terrain!

"We don't have room for it".

I think the last time I went into a GW and got what I wanted was about two decades ago, lol.

Wow !!!! :o That does not bode well for the entire game ! We who are actually interested in it may be/are a minority in GW sales. That is what happened last time ... :-\

Yeah, I tried that on launch day and got the same line. Strange if you ask me. I mean, you make room, right?? I did have a very pleasant chat with a guy about model shops in Guildford in the 90's though..

Yeah, GW's main store model has a very limited selection for AoS and 40k and that's about it - anything Blood Bowl, Necromunda etc etc isn't a core line and thus not traited for in store. Kill Team bucks the trend as that gets a whole bay in the layout. The Idoneth release, for example, only had a couple of new units go on shelves after the release week - the other stuff immediately went on last chance to buy in store.

I was told by an independent store owner last year that Blood Bowl and presumably, other "specialist" games were seen as sellers for non-GW stores.

Another independent store in town where I am now has loads of Blood Bowl, Necromunda, GW boxed games and it had some Titanicus stuff, all things the 'Warhammer' store had literally none of.

Popping into the GW store today wasn't a total waste of time though, as someone there had ordered Titanicus into the store and had opened it, graciously letting me look over the Warlord sprues, objectives, rulebook etc. But it's a rum state of affairs when someone comes into your shop wanting to spend £65 on a brand new model that is heavily advertised on the website and community pages and they're told "nah can't be bothered with that"!

Yeah, it seems to be a bit of a sore spot for some managers, lost sales and so on. They have the whole 'order of £40 or more in store are free delivery' but that doesn't help with not getting your hand on the product for several days. Speaking of, my copy should arrive tomorrow....
