Don't worry Steve, we'll get you up and running!
There are 3 files in total that you download from Wargame Vault. One of those is a simple one page PDF that talks about the contents of the files and how the lists are structured. The other two are something called
.bsr files. They are:
1. mayhembattlechest.bsr
2. mayhemarmiesofmayhem.bsr
You simply want to download these files from Wargame Vault. You don't want to
'save as' any other type of file. Also, you may want to just download them to your desktop so that it'll be easy to find them for import [more in a moment]. These are data repository files that will help ensure that future updates will install easily and make sure that everything goes to the right place.
Once you have the files downloaded, you're ready to import them.
To import your
Armies of Mayhem files in to BattleScribe:
1. Open the Roster Editor
2. Click on the ‘Manage Data’ button
3. Click on the ‘Import Data From File…’ button
4. Find each of the .bsr files and select them [one at a time] and click ‘Open’
You will want to import both data files. After that, you're ready to start creating your armies!
To build your army:
1. Open the Roster Editor
2. select New Roster
3. choose
Mayhem: Battle Chest or
Mayhem: Armies of Mayhem as your game system
4. select Add Roster
5. select a Force Type
The
Mayhem: Battle Chest game system data file is a single large army list that will let you create an army that follows all the force construction rules found in the book. Since it's a single list, you can create all manner of combined forces.
The
Mayhem: Armies of Mayhem game system data file contains armies that feature unique units and army specific rules.
Let me know if this gets you sorted!
