My hand, from the heel to my middle fingertip is just over 8" long (I am 6' 6.5" tall) and that model is taller than my hand is long - not counting the carapace weapons. But, whatever...

That Titan model was a test piece that was not made in a manner which was viable to mass-produce and sell. I believe one of Our Lot actually emailed FW about it a while back and referenced it in another thread.

Err if the entire 40k warlord is 22.5" there is no way it can be 8" - look at the pic semaj posted, it's significantly shorter than just the leg.

A shade under 6" I think.

Yeah, it'll be bittersweet.

On the plus side, this can't possibly be bad for BFG.

Whatever they release, I will buy it. As long as it's an SG like Space Hulk was.

I haven't bought Dreadfleet, the Assassin game or Betrayal at Calth because even though they had gorgeous components, I couldn't justify them as they don't scratch an itch I have.

If there's a 6mm Epic release with nice plastics I will buy it.
If there's a Necromunda release I will buy it.
If there's a Mordheim release I will buy it.
And if there's FW add ons I will buy all of them before they stop making them. I regret not being in a position to buy all the things that were lost in the Great Dying when they were available.

I could imagine them making a HH game in 10mm as all the units would be useable for both Loyalist and Chaos forces as it's a massive power armour punch up.

I thought about this - The Heresy was definitely the big time of 'big' battles. Something for "Epic" (the name used quite loosely) set HH-era might be something very appealing to a lot of folks. Even if everything's done in resin, FW's medium, it could be an awfully nice 10mm/6mm game. And let's be honest, if they did 10mm marines they aren't going to be that far from a fit to truescale stuff compared with the newer 6mm to not-truescale titans'n'tanks anyway.

I admit, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Whatever happens, it's a sea change from the past... 8 years? Of SG being shuffled to one side then killed, so I am going to allow myself to be happy and optimistic about it all. =)

Here's the actual memo

Note that Mr FW himself is the head dude, which bodes well (as well as anything involving GW plc can)

[salt] ;D

Also to be fair, that can be construed as getting the team/division/group/org in place to make sales, not just actual product releases (in typical corp speak). Regardless, interesting times.

Considering how many who are vocally prepared to "throw moneys" their way no matter what, it seems to be a real marketing bullseye, regardless of the actual plan.
