After much number crunching this morning, going through a multitude of (dont read it primarch...) Sales reciepts, emails, and ebay records, my totals should now stand at:
2 Imperators 12 Mk1 Beetleback Warlords 5 Mk 3 Warlords 6 Mk1 Reavers 1 FW Reaver 8 Mk1 Warhound 1 FW Warhound 1 "Other" ? (Just to annoy you all.... )
So A "mere" 36 Titans. Still not a bad number for someone who very rarely uses the big machines! Maybe I could sell some more...... ?
It was my other Race's war machines that faired really badly (as did the collections of them overall!). I have 7 Gargants I can think of now (1 Mekboy, 1 Slasher, 2 Great & 3 Mega (yeauch....)) 2 'Nid Hierophants, NO big eldar titans(!) 6 Revenants and a couple of chaos conversions.

Chris | LOL, it was only a passing comment - I have no idea where half of those titans are anyway! The only ones I know I can locate are those I've done more recently & thus want to keep. If / when I come across the right boxes & still feel like selling, I'll let you both know, but that may not be for a LONG time

Hi!
It seems people have pretty significant amounts of titans in their collections!
The other question would be how many of those you get to field?

I'm an epic gamer who likes the game for the big regiments over the big machines, so I usually go for the option of more general armour or more grunts rather than take a titan!
However, I have recently quite enjoyed working on a few for my Steel Monoliths legion whilst I was unable to achieve the detail I wanted on infantry and such so they may start to see more action!

Quote (primarch @ 16 2003 Oct.,22:29) | Thats why I used to host big battles at local Conventions of stores, just to see all my titans on the boards. A total of 20 in one battle was the best we mustered once. | Wow! 20 Titans! I bet they made a big hole in the front line when they all fire at once!
It was a blast! |
I bet it was...only one way to describe that much firepower:
KABOOOOOM!!!!!
Cheers

Hi!
It was carnage incarnate! Seeing all the titans rubble and wrecks over the board was fun!
It was particularly vicious because the opponents were Tyranids. The imperials shot desperately as 9 bio-titans scurried their way forth to Imperial lines. Some warhunds and reavers up front where mashed to peices by tyranid close combat weapons while a core of warlords and TWO Imperators blazed away. Only the core of the two Imperators and two warlords where left standing once the battle was over...15 titans laid devastated.
That was great, but it was a mere "side-show" to the massive 7000 point bio-pod drop on the right flank, which nearly annihilated every Imperial on the board in that sector. However to do this, the tyranids left their left flank weak and Imperials dominated there.
The final victory was the Imperials, it was 30k per side.
Those were the days.....

All those titans on one battlefield would make Primarchs Tyranid day out seem little more than a walk in the park...so much firepower.
But in battle it would only lead to complete total annihilation. For both sides.
It would be interesting to see how many points all those titans are, in Epic:A and Netepic.
Cheers
Chris

In Net Epic it would depend on the weapons used, as you buy hull and weapons separately for Reavers, Warlords and Warhounds. However, If we take an average value of the usual weapons we can get a reasonable approximate.
Let's see. 8 Imperators = 18000 points 1 Warmonger = 1700 points 101 Warlords = 50500 (chassis cost) + 34340(total average weapon cost) = 84840 points 38 Reavers = 11400 (chassis cost) + 9120(average weapon cost) = 21090 42 Warhounds = 5250 (chassis cost) + 5040 (average weapon cost) = 10290
Grand Total = 135920 points

..Sounded one hell of a battle Primarch!
Might I add my (oh so minor!) contribution to the forces... A mere one Imperator and one Warlord.. ..lol
