Apologies for the brief downtime of these boards. The hosts had a server glitch which was resolved quickly, but left session logs opened and hanging. These have now been repaired.

I will try to keep site notices and other important/interesting information distributed through @TacWarNet on Twitter.

Thanks for the good work with this forum.

I've noticed something odd though after the downtime happened. Certain topics keep popping up when i use the "view unread topics" button. But nothing new has been posted in them. It disappers if I post something in them though. Just wanted to give a heads up on it..

You mean me :P

Basically I am not working now, and between epic and a certain online game, I have nothing to do until the sun comes out. This and the epic facebook group is current my only form of social life!

So I tend to get a bit itchy when C/S Isn't doing his job properly!

:P What I mean is, thanks C/S keep up the good work!

Accounts Lost

I have had several emails from people stating that - following the server issue recently - their accounts have been 'lost'. I am still looking into this. As far as I can tell (and this is only conjecture at this time) some people who were logged it at the moment that the server had a problem had their accounts corrupted by the server error. When the boards were returned online, the database was repaired and corrupted records had to be removed or the entire system would have remained unavailable. As such, it seems at this that some user accounts have been removed by the system.

I am still looking into this and have around 6 cases at this time.

If anyone is reading this and is having problems and suspects that they may be affected, please;

1. Drop me an eMail - webdude@

2. Try to re-register the identical account, with the same username and email address. If the account is removed, the boards will allow you to do this. If the account is still there, the boards will not allow the same username and email address to be used. Let me know the results if you try this.

I am looking into this, and I can only apologise. I understand how frustrating this can be for those affected.
