Just some musings :-

The ruling on where the supreme commander sits - especially in an IG force. If i have purchased say a warlord for the force I'd want the SC to be positioned within it, not sat on the portaloo in a chimera. Can move to any on the table unit - not fliers else he'd spend the game on CAP.

Commissars - in fluff used to enforce the commands - yet in game they dont. Perhaps see them having their own SC reroll on a 4+ if their unit fails to activate. Failing that removal of rolling to activate - the army is there to fight, if a player wants to retain needs a 3+ if fails to retain & has commissar then 4+. Failing gives BMs as normal.

Emperor class spaceship should be able to come in from Turn 1 IMHO. Lets face it who fields one waiting on T3?

Would like to see units who double or march go to have the ability to overwatch which only comes into effect in the games next turn. Afterall they ran there for a reason.

When a WE gets destroyed should become a ruin/impassable.

Would like to see structure points for buildings/ruins and the ability to destroy them affecting the survivability of those inside and within a large blast template (dependant on size of building) or a 5cm radius of the structure destroyed.

Ignore Cover weapons need tweeking imho -

I cant see how a flamer based weapon could penetrate an hermetically sealed bunker or a fortified building which would have its fire door barricaded.

Flamers hitting troops in woods should receive an extra dice too - after all it would create a firestorm in such an environment,

Ruins likening to functioning buildings should offer a degree of protection perhaps half the attacking dice.

Reasoning is trenchworks buildings etc do no matter what offer protection, you need only look to the bombed out ruins of Stalingrad to see that even after their destruction they offered a degree of protection.

And....a bail out rule for vehicles carrying troops. Flyers get shot out of the sky - then its inevitable that the pax inside go down with it also. However a vehicle kill or rather a failed armour save with pax inside, the vehicle may for all intense & purposes be just disabled opposed to a kill. Would either like to see troop bail out, anything but a 1 they survive, or a damage table on the failed armour roll. 1-2 mobility kill, 3-4 vehicle damaged beyond viable use (roll anything but a 1 for exiting pax) 5-6 vehicle & pax destroyed completely.
