I don't think you've thought this through. All you need is someone to run a local tournament for you the week before you fly. You could call it the "Beat Shadowlord" tournament!
I just flew up from Santa Fe Argentina to play in Cold Wars Lancaster, PA USA. In two days time I am flying to Chicago for AdeptiCon. Then back to Santa Fe.
Flying around with Epic is no problem. Mine travel in a Chessex case in my carry on. Zero issues.
