Hi All

The first in what is likely to be a host of aircraft related questions/clarifications.

4.2.6 Disengagement Moves wrote:

table.

and

4.2.7 Blast Markers wrote:
Aircraft that land are affected by any Blast makers they have
picked up normally, and are allowed to rally in the end phase.

Does this mean an aircraft that has landed can rally and then disengage (leave the board) during the end phase?

Aircraft Disengagements happen before rallying, so no they cannot rally and disengage.

Quote:
4.2.6 Disengagement Moves
In the end phase, all aircraft that that have not landed must exit
the table. Aircraft that have landed may choose to exit the
table. Aircraft may exit along ANY table edge. Simply move
the aircraft as you did when it made its approach move, until it
reaches a table edge. This is called the disengagement move,
and it takes place at the start of the end phase before any
ground formations rally.

Thanks dptdexys

Another question.

It seems the direction the aircraft is facing is of iimportance, both die to fixed arc weapons and the movement of the aircraft.

I am particularly interested in the movement of an aircraft that has landed, and is now disengaging.

Does the aircraft have to make the minimum 30cm move in the direction it was facing when landed or can it choose a new direction while taking off?

Thanks

Yes, the disengagement move is totally separate to the approach move so all landed AC must move straight forward 30cm before turning when disengaging.

Another aircraft question - regarding maneuvrability.

A Fighter-Bomber flies like a bomber when ground attacki action (4.2.1 Aircraft Approach Moves) and as a fighter at all other times.

I guess this means that a thunderhawk will fly like a fighter (90deg turns every 30cm allowed as opposed to 45deg turns) during the disengagement phase?

Thunderhawk is a bomber, not fighter-bomber so 45% turns on all moves. If you meant Thunderbolt you are correct :D
