Remarkably, they're pretty much the same across the board. The main difference being geographic: GW=Scandinavia, EpicUK=UK, NetEA=US/Oz.

What are the stats based on? Is it how many people are creating lists on the army forge site, and the nation of their IP address?

more or less (i would consider them 'indicative' rather than 'reliable')

interesting that eldar dont make a showing the top 10 in the Uk lists. and in top 3 in both others.

Yes, that is why they don't show up. No such excuse for the original variant lists though (Scars, Baran, Feral, Freakz). They are all at the bottom.
