So after Sunday’s games, the campaign map looks like this:

Matt was able to build up a handy lead, helped by the capture of week 1′s Spaceport hex for bonus points.
There is another game scheduled during the week so the map may change a bit before next Sunday’s round 2 begins.

Cheers,
Steve.

So the first round ends with 6 players having played 6 games at 2000pts.
In the remaining game, Iyanden Eldar fought with the Iron Warriors. Even though the forces of chaos were able to seize the strategic advantage though out the game, they were unable to penetrate the Eldar armour (even with cross-fire) and the game went to Jason 3:0 with BTS, TnH and TSNP. Well played Jason!

Matt - 10pts
Simon - 5pts
Steve - 5pts
Duro - 4pts
Jason - 3pts
Joel - 2pts

The next round begins on Sunday June 8th!
Games will be at 2500pts.

Great campaign so far, and I'm looking forward to it as it continues to scale up in points sizes.

Thanks for running it Steve.

I always like seeing you guys play - the tables and armies always look spot on.

Do you have a link to the campaign rules you're using? I remember them being simple but effective...

I was wondering that, too.

I have some photos from Nick Brookesy's first foray into the Campaign.
2500pts Biel Tan vs Steel Legion.

Wraithlords and Wraithguard provide a spearpoint as the Eldar stride out to war.

Image

Nick's Leman Russ 'Practically unbreakable Break their Spirit' formation rolls forward to claim the objectives.

Image

Falcons and Fireprisms hunt from cover.

Image

A warhound loses just a single shield as to eldar tanks, shrugging off their efforts and replying with molten plasma blasts.

Image

The Imperial Guard fired a massive amount of firepower into the large Eldar formation.

Image

Ooh Shiny.

Image

A Vampire swoops in from orbit and disgorges Warpspiders into a massive assault against an infantry company and broken warhound. This would prove to go better for the Eldar side, but both ended up broken from casualties.

Image

The Eldar BTS Guardian and Wraithlord formation engages the Leman Russes - only to be repelled and broken for their efforts.

Image

The Avatar is summoned, and engages a traitorous Revenant (Sub for a Steel Legion Warhound).

Image

The game proved to be very close, with only a fraction of both armies making it out alive. There was a point where Nick was on the brink of victory with his Leman Russes just needing to move a few CM and fire on the Eldar blitz guard, but they were broken in the nick of time and finally destroyed in turn 4.

The game ended with an Eldar win 2-1 (take and hold, bts vs take and hold).

Contact PFE100 for more details on the Squat Engine list.

Thanks for the report Matt. I'll update the campaign details soon.

So Matt continues to dominate!

Next Sunday 22nd is the final day of the campaign for this year. Can anyone catch Matt? Can we play enough games (at least 5 more games) to begin capturing territories off each-other?

Next week will see Titans and Tau amongst other armies, coming to play!

Well the War Without End campaign has drawn to a close for this year with a resounding victory to Matt!
Well done mate. A 100% win rate from your 8 games - outstanding stuff.

Week 4 saw 9 players play 6 more games.
Drew - Tau Third Phase Expansion
    Liam - Tau Vior'la
    Matt - Biel-Tan
    Nick - Steel Legion
    Simon - Biel-Tan
    Joel - Ghazghakull Orks
    Duro - Squat War Engines
    Jak - Ghazghakull Orks
    Steve - Iron Warriors

Game results:
Drew vs Liam - 1:1 draw (BTS to BTS)
Matt vs Nick - 4:0 win to Matt (BTS, TnH, DTF & TSNP)
Simon vs Joel - 4:0 win to Simon (Blitz, TnH, TSNP & DTF)
Duro vs Jak - 1:0 to Duro (DTF) Victory points win to Duro
Nick vs Steve 1:0 to Nick (TnH) Victory point DRAW
Duro vs Simon - Victory point win to Duro

Photos of week 4:
Drew’s Third Phase expansion Tau and Liam’s Vior’La Tau fight a fierce civil war.
Image
Image

Nick’s Steel Legion try to take on the might of Matt’s Biel-Tan.
Image
Image

Joel’s Ork Waaagh challenge the Biel-Tan of Simon.
Image
Image

Jak’s Ork horde hurls itself at Duro’s Squat War Engines.
Image

Simon’s Biel-Tan are next up for Duro’s Squats.
Image

And the final game of the campaign saw Nick’s Steel Legion and Steve’s Iron Warriors duke it out for a 4 turn draw (but allowing Nick to capture a map territory off Steve).
Image
Image
Image

So the final layout of the campaign map looks like this:
Image

A comfortable win to Matt (as usual :) ).
Interesting facts:
12 players have played 20 games of Epic over the last 4 weeks.
Matt played 8 games and won every single one (the rest of us need to lift our game).

Victory Goals scored over the 20 games:
    Take and Hold – 19
    Break Their Spirit – 12
    Blitz – 11
    Defend the Flag – 9
They Shall Not Pass – 6

As usual with this campaign, there is a great reward in participation. I value players turning up and joining in the fun more than winning or losing!
A big Thankyou to all 12 players that joined in (and to all the interested onlookers that watched).
Also a HUGE thanks goes out to Tabletop Gamers Association for the amazing support and encouragement they provide!

The War Without End will continue in 2015!
Steve.
