Hello everyone..  well after trying to do 40k from.. 1995 and never finishing anything! well gave up on that. Being more of a Fan of the realistic battle sizes i decided i wanted in on Epic so a weeee while back i got myself a small marine force just over a company in size and i want in on some epics! so gonna expand this army and wanna jump in on some big games! maybe even make a Eldar or Tau army (if FW bring them back anytime soon)

Just wanted to say Hi (did't know where to post) and ask if anyone knows of a gaming club in Bristol or near by.. cus the-WPS.com tells me there is some clubs around but i checked each site and they dont play epic or they dont say they do. I know my local GW store has a staff member who loves it but have not spoken to him in ages cus i hate the new boss of the store (he hates all specialist games)

Anyway Thanks dudes

Steve

Don't forget Bristol also has Cribbs causeway store, not sure what the community there is like (or if they even have one) but gives you another option to try.

thats the one i'm talking about

Yea i was good mates with the old Boss he was awesome then he got a new better paid job and this New guy rolled in kicked out all the regulars forced out 2 very good staff members hmmm and is just a dick.. so i dont go anymore and going in to the city centre for the Bristol store is.. well it costs money to park.. lame! and i dont really get on with some of the folk who go to it (they were booted out of Cribbs and now hang in bristol store)

So now mostly i go to a friends house (was one of the ex staff members) every monday. But none play epic.. or even want to try.. lame!

Welcome SteveJ - good to have you on board.

Bristol/the south west has quite a few gamers.  Check out the Tournement section and look for the threads from last month to do with 'Winter Warmer'.  T'was an Epic tourny run in Bristol which had a load of local gamers, + a few from further afield.

Also look up Vanguard - the Bristol club.  I'm not sure of all their details, but know they have afew Epic players. I'm sure some of the others on these boards can give you more info.

I'm down the road, generally in Bath so no doubt we'll have to hook up and have a game or two at some point.

Cheers

Reedar

Aha! Another one in sunny Bristol!

We may have lot the epic mad Man of Kent on his cycling down under trip but we still have a small but dedicated band of epic players in the bristol area! (Theres at least one in bath!)

This is our website here: http://www.bristolvanguard.co.uk/BV/Welcome.html

Pop onto our forum and mutter something about epic and I'm sure you can drag a couple of players out of the woodwork!

(Incidentally, I don't go to the Cribs store anymore either, yep, because of the manager!   The previous manager really liked specialist games, the BFG campaign he ran way great fun).
