The one thing I like about the sprew snipper is not breaking the troops while trying to cut them off the sprew tree. Hobbie knives tend to "snap" as they make the final cut. Lost a few Eldar that way. Most cutters tend to be thick and this put pressure on the figure. Lost some IG that way.
The sprew snippers are very thin, angled slightly, and have a smoth cut so the small parts (Eldar Troopers for example) cut off without problems.

I finally bought a sprue cutter at the local RR hobby shop and it was practically the best buy I ever made.
It's the only way to consistently cut the more detailled plastic Epic infantry off their sprues without snapping them or otherwise breaking them. It's sure lightyears ahead of using an X-acto knife.
Mine looks like a mix between a set of tweezers and toenail clippers.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Indeed.. Ah, the Summer holidays! I intend to get a job tho, so I can buy even more Epic+BFG than I do now (and the occasional CD, cinema ticket etc...) hehe

Yeah, I also intend to get a job and buy some more Epic. As for CD's - I don't buy them anymore, so don't need cash for them. Cinema tickets - unless its with a girl then I won't be doing that either.
Gamecube games on the other hand are a different matter...
Cheers
Chris

I don't need CD's coz I download them all (Don't Tell )
I have about 300-350 albums. There are 6000 mp3s on my hard drive!
Cheers
Chris

You'll never find me. Your in California im in the UK. The cost of a plane ticket would make it a very expensive wedgie.
Cheers

Ahhh, mon ami, the value of a good wedgie given to the right miscreant is priceless!
I'm sure that many of us would buy with great pleasure a plane ticket to the UK to give you, Chris, a good wedgie. ?
I'm personally of the opinion that we are in need of making a few new game-related topics and letting this one fade away... ?
Shabbat Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
