As for miniature releases: dunno about the IG mechanized company. It somehow sounds more aprropriate to me with a pure infantry company with the Chimeras as an upgrade to be bought in blisters -purely speculation on my behalf though, but it seems odd that you would have to buy 6 chimeras if you only wanted to field a regular infantry company. Everything else sounds nice!
Even though the playtest Forum is getting increasingly like other GW boards I still think it wiill have a vital role for the time to come. Besides playtesting future army lists there's also the AT3 and Flyer expansion games to take into consideration. Though yes; unfortunately there will be the occational childishness from unserious players which were generally avoided until a few months ago.
Cheers!

I hope for AT3 they do some limited runs of the plastic beetlebacks...put me down for 20!
Cheers

Oh, and some of you don't probably even take into account that it was PG who started the second yahoogroup when the mod of the first one was abducted by unknown warp entity (read: disappeared devil-knows-where), and as the Mod had to approve the membership, the access to the group for new people out there was severed.

I sincerely hope the IG companies are boxed sets, but it really leaves me wondering as to the status of titans and the plastic infantry.
I'm now officially jonesing for a Russ company. One more and a few chimeras and I'll have 2 of each IG company (inf, mech inf, tank, arty, suphvy).

Hi!
So they opened ANOTHER yahoo epic list? Whats wrong with the current epic mailing list?
Now we have three lists: the net epic one, the old epic list and an Epic A list?
To many lists to subscribe too....

I think I belong to at least 8 -12 Epic E-groups although I think some of them are defunct.

Hi!
Why so many lists though? Is it just a desire to "own" the list? There is only real need for two epic lists. One for epic in all its versions and manifestations and the netepic list which is a "design" list.
Is there some special reason people make so many redunant lists?
Just seems like a waste of time.

PG created the epica_lists group for two main: 1. After "the juggsbunny case" every person joining the old group had to be approved by the mod. Mod has disappeared. 2. The group went a bit messy, as it was trying to include all stuff concerning Epic. PG's group is ONLY for fan rules and army lists.

I am slightly confused here... if you are talking about the EpicA@yahoogroups.com it is still used but only for EpicA and it is moderated by not only myself but a couple of others, whilst it is moderated (new members must be approved) this never takes longer than 24 hours.
The need for a second group does seem kinda silly.
The reason for three lists was that NetEPIC is kinda for NetEPIC only, Epic was mainly Epic40k, although it tends to only discuss SM/TL these days and EpicA for the new Epic game, EPIC: Armageddon.
As for the new group - I wish it luck, how many members does it have? The whole point of the original group was that Jervis was there to answer any questions the list threw up and he still does that as well as providing a forum for debate.

I have seen the new mailing list, it has 62 members compared to the original mailing lists 245... what is he playing at?
I thought the idea was to bring the EPIC community together, this is why we have ONE forum, ONE mailing list for each game system and ONE nexus to bind it all together.
This seems kinda counter productive to me.

There were at least 3 people who tried to join the EpicA list over the course of a couple weeks and never recieved a response from a moderator. I don't know who is listed as the moderator on the page, but direct e-mails did not work either.
All that is hearsay, but it was well-discussed on the Playtest forum.
Why there? Because as people kept posting fan lists, they were requested to go post on the EpicA page, but were unable.
The breakdown led to the creation of a fan rule section on the playtest board (which I still think is wrong), and a separate Yahoo group for army lists.
