So, I had a few of these simple containers I got on thecontainerstore.com (Amac Acrylic Containers), so I broke out my Silhouette SD (It's a paper cutter like a Circket), I then made some cutting templates. Then painted the card, used spray glue to adhere them to the containers. After that was done I used masking tape in the inside rim or the card (though this part sucks, it's a pain to apply), spray painted the tops black, then sprayed a pile of spray glue into them and filled them with flocking. After it had a little bit to dry I then pulled the tape, leaving a grass based roof.

Great Window method. Similar to what I suggested early on for the Vanguard building sprues. Brings results to a whole new level while lowering time and effort.

I picked up a bunch of those in a bunch of different styles when they were on sale at the container store. I was planning on spraying them and using templates to get the windows. Those look really sharp though. Great for clean sci-fi.
