First post on these forums (you may have encountered me on Warseer, mainly being critical of GW).

I've just started a 6mm Mordheim project. Mordheim is I think the only GW game I've never played of those released during my initial period in the hobby (early 4th WFB to just before 6th WFB). I've tried making a 28mm board before, it did not come together. Starting again, I wanted something with a lot of scale, huge buildings, winding streets, hence 6mm.

Here is the first module, unpainted 1 foot square. The low area are streets, the raised areas will contain buildings. I'll be making buildings later, for now a couple of 28mm buildings are used. Figures are 6mm microworld beastkin. The blank bit is intended to be a waterway.

Ha! This is the cutest idea! I've seen people do the same for 40k.

More progress. The streets are fully painted, the waterway has only its first coat.

Very cool idea ! I have always loved the fantasy stuff going back to the days of the ink sketched
drawings in steve jacksons role playing books the town pictures used to be awesome !

Will be keeping an eye on this thread and must resist the urge for 6mm fantasy ;D

Keep up the great work

They are indeed made from art hirst blocks, I believe Egyptian basic block and basic floor (http://www.hirstarts.com/molds/moldsegypt.html). Admittedly, I bought those molds for another project, their may be more suitable molds on there. The boards are cork boards (http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Sealed-C ... 9/p/620950), mainly bought because they are cheap. I though I'd have to reinforce them but they seem strong enough.

Very little progress but I'll update when I do.

Hi Samsonov

Just had a look at those moulds on that site, they have some pretty nice moulds and a
decent selection to choose from ;)
