Foreground: three Brigade Miniatures landing pads.
Background (L-R): Angel Barracks building (painting not finished), BM bunkers including one with a Clockwork Goblin Shield Turret on, random resin building with a second Clockwork Goblin Shield Turret on it.

Image

The bunkers and landing pads were a quick-n-dirty paintjob on the grounds that painted > unpainted.

Grey undercoat.
Drybrush near-white on the raised areas.
Doorways and fittings painted dark green-brown with a little bit of drybrushed silver for highlighting.
Vallejo black and sepia dip was then painted on with a brush in differing proportions, using the brush to take away pools of dip that were too big.

The painted bottle-top pillboxes again, this time with the next batch visible behind them.

I realised I'm going to need some more fortifications. Heavily inspired by Moredakka's laser-cut walls...

A pile of foamed PVC later...

I'm still not 100% sure how to do the parapets - the original idea was to do a hoarding along the top and draw gun slots on the front. Cutting out crenelations is definitely out...

Oops. I finished off the first wall section a couple of weeks ago but have been too busy to post the photos!

For the parapet slits I decided to make a masking jig and use a big marker pen as it was far easier than making something 3D and is indistinguishable from more than a couple of feet away:

Very nice work ! But remember fortifications, redoubts, bunkers, pillboxes, etc. are static ... and immobile. They can be easily targeted and easily out flanked and by-passed ... 8) So you should set up a defense in depth, to make it harder to by-pass, etc., ... At least in sector ... ^-^

Progress on these stalled a bit (rubberlizard revived a thread from last year) due to lack of players for the planned big game, but I'm hoping to get some more work done for a local event in November - parts are mostly cut for another six or or wall sections.

A second wall section should be getting finished next week. In the mean time, ruins!
