just waiting around for decorators caulk to dry is so irritating!!

anyone know the size of base usually used for objectves? been having a look and cant get a specific size, most look like they are based on the 60mm round titan bases

All my objectives are based on 60mm bases. :)
But i've seen everything down to 20mm.

That last pic look awesome!

What did you put on top of the blue foam to create the stony / rocky look on the surface of the board?

Thanks for the comments - im at the halfway point i always get right now, doubting it looks right so they have helped alot

Draccan - after putting down foam for the hills i used decorators caulk to add some shape and once dry pva and sand with some patches of fine gravel bits. painted base coat raw umber, heavy drybrush raw sienna, light drybrush in patches of titanium sand and yellow ochre but leaving some of the sienna showing as well. after its dried i have added some patches of wash coulours - green, red, sepia made from a heavily thinned oil paint and in small areas (these are the green bits that can be seen - the other colours arent as visible)

Yep, brilliant! I'm watching on with envious eyes...

It's just like Tom Cruise says: "respect the caulk!" :D

three hills and woods that block los for titans, tried to include areas for infantry to Digg in while also leaving some channels for fast tank movements.

two more boards to do at a later date and i am tempted to build on The broken defense wall and add some overgrown city ruins

I'm at the point where you think more terrain is needed but im wary of overdoing it. maybe just add a few d details

sorry about the spelling, working from a tablet and keyboard is a nightmare

Hi!

This is one of those boards where the quality of the texturing and nuance of the landscape is just superb.

Wonderful terrain board!
