Neat - I hadn't seen those before. Granted, it's not like what I have here is a particularly unique idea. I'm not quite sure yet when/if it will see the light of day...optimizing for printing is proving a real headache despite how simple the basic shape is, and it looks like it would be pretty expensive anyway. Still, it's something I'd like to do so perhaps I can save it for another Kickstarter campaign or something.

Part of the problem is I have lots of ideas that are partially finished, but I'm not sure which ones to pursue first. We'll see what happens with this upcoming batch of stuff and what turns out to be popular.

Hey everybody,

Still working away on new stuff here, but I wanted to let you guys know I'm holding a bit of a sale right now to clear the decks a little (and help stave off the tuition bogeyman!). It'll run until next Thursday.

If you spend more than $100 you can save 15% with code SUMMER100, or spend more than $200 and save 25% with code SUMMER200.

Cheers!
-Chris

Getting stuff done would be much easier if "real life" wasn't a thing...

Anyway, I thought I would post a little bit of the process as I've tried to fill out the Future Tech range a bit. It's been a bit of a struggle to get something I really like the look of, but perhaps you guys will find something you want to see produced here. Let me know!

This one above isn't bad, but still not quite what I wanted. Too many large window surfaces that would be hard to paint.

I like this one, but the asymmetry of the windows is a bit much. I cleaned it up a bit below, but they're still perhaps too detailed to paint easily. I've tried to make them shallower on later designs (compared to the original buildings already available) to make painting easier.

By the way, you still print the prototypes on Shapeways? I'm kinda curious how your casting experience for that has been, I've heard it was rather tricky to get the frosting layer off since it could mess up the mould?
