Your not wrong mate.
Hi!
It is a sign of the times I think.
Model making and its related business has to take a long hard look at emerging technologies.
3d design is where it is at, but paying for those designs is costly and not everyone has the advantage like Onslaught that he runs the company and makes his own designs (a definite money saver).
In the case of psypher, he also makes his own designs and cuts them himself, but the level of moving inventory is not high enough to justify the fees involved in maintaining a webstore.
6mm and epic in general, for now, can only really work as a small cottage industry or via commission work. Not the most optimal situation, but I'd get used to it until the time everyone can have their own 3d printer and/or scanner, then it becomes an issue of hunting for 3d designs or scanning already made models.

You have hit the nail on the head there mate.
3D printed models have the advantage over laser cut ones for the amount of detail they can have. There is the possibility that if I can do it, I'll be doing some 3D printed stuff from design to printing in house in the future (one of my hopes for the future). I just need to find a decent, easy, user friendly 3D package to start with! ....Anyone got any suggestions
